Understanding Being

Please stop trying to understand Being. You have already had significant glimpses of Being, but the mind will always try to squeeze it into a little box and then put a label on it. It cannot be done. It cannot become an object of knowledge. In Being, subject and object merge into one.

The legacy of the subject/object distinction is ironically both crowning achievement and the principal failing of both the Classical Greek culture and the Enlightenment. It's a powerful tool that launched the rational mind and the scientific era, but it fails to provide meaning, however delusional, that is still a part of the human condition.
